FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Explore the frequently asked questions below and discover more about how our solar spotlights can transform your pool experience
How is it installed?
The installation is very simple. Just clean the surface where it will be installed, apply the flexible adhesive on the back of the spotlight, and press it firmly against the pool wall for a few seconds, directly underwater.
Are they installed directly underwater?
Yes, the adhesive included is suitable for installation directly under water.
On what types of pools can it be installed?
They can be installed in all types of pools: Gresite, fiberglass, reinforced sheet, liner, masonry, pebble, etc.
Can it be used in liner pools?
Magnet models are available for liner pools. No adhesive is required for installation as they have a built-in magnetic fixing system (only suitable for liner pools with galvanized steel walls).
Should they be exposed directly to the sun under water?
Yes, its correct autonomy depends on it. It is important that the installation is made on the sunniest wall of the pool. For every hour of exposure to the sun, they will have one hour of autonomy.
Can they be installed in tiled pools?
Yes, they can be installed in all types of pools, although for a Gresite pool you will need the adhesive fixing model.
How are they uninstalled?
To uninstall the bulb, rotate it firmly in one direction until the center point of the flexible adhesive peels off. Do not pry with any tool, otherwise you may damage the bulb or the pool surface.
Can I install them over the old electric bulbs?
Although the spotlights can be adhered over the holes of the old electric spotlights, it is important to take into account that the wall where they are located is sunny and that the niche is previously waterproofed. It is also important to take into account the size of the pool, each of our models has a maximum intensity of 320 lm and can illuminate a surface of between 15 and 20 m2.
Can the spotlight be installed deeper?
Yes. Although we recommend installing them between 20 and 30 cm deep for ease of installation, they can be installed deeper if the pool requires it.
Do they resist cleaning robots?
Yes, both the adhesive and the bulb are resistant to cleaning with a robot, as well as the magnetic fixing model.
Is it necessary to remove them during the winter?
The spotlight can be left installed during the winter even if the pool is covered with a winter awning. However, it is advisable to uninstall it if the pool is to be emptied or if there are heavy frosts during the winter.
If I remove them during the winter, how are they best preserved?
To keep the spotlight out of the pool for long periods of time, remove it after the batteries have been charged for a few hours. Then replace the adhesive with the magnet that was removed during installation. The spotlight has a magnetic switch inside and this will prevent it from turning on during the months that it is not in use, keeping the battery charged for conservation.
Can they be installed in saltwater pools?
Yes, they can be installed in both salt and chlorinated water pools for months when not in operation, keeping the battery charged for conservation.
Can spotlights be exposed directly to the sun without being submerged?
The focus must always remain submerged. It is not advisable to expose the spotlight to the sun out of the water as it will reach high temperatures and this may reduce the life of the batteries.
